The lightweight SLX brake disc is made of aluminum-stainless steel sandwich construction (Ice Technologies) and thus ensures optimal braking performance in dry and wet conditions. The aluminum core improves heat dissipation and thus significantly increases the stability. The aluminum spider generates high rigidity, so the disc hardly warps and annoying grinding and brake fading is largely prevented. With the Center Lock mount , easy installation on all Center Lock hubs is possible.
The Center Lock locking ring included in the scope of delivery enables the brake disc to be attached to the corresponding Center Lock hub with quick release, 15 mm or 20 mm thru axle. A tool is required for assembly, which is also used when assembling external bearing shells (Shimano Hollowtech II).
